Our Impact

Supporting school meals in Cachipascana

On August 24, 2026, Project South America began supporting the school meal program at I.E.S. Señor de Huanca in Cachipascana, Puno, Peru.

The comedor escolar provides students with consistent, nutritious meals during the school week, helping reduce one of the biggest barriers to learning: hunger. By supporting daily meals, Project South America helps students arrive to class with more energy, greater focus, and one less challenge standing between them and their education.

Our support goes beyond providing food. The program is part of our broader mission to create sustainable systems that strengthen education, improve student well-being, and give children in underserved Andean communities a stronger foundation for their future.

Every meal represents more than nutrition, it represents stability, opportunity, and the chance for a student to keep moving forward.

Warm clothing for students in Puno

Project South America provided warm clothing to students at Institución Educativa Primaria N.º 70647 and Institución Educativa Primaria N.º 70059 “Jesús María” in Puno, Peru.

As part of this initiative, students received sweaters specially prepared with Project South America patches featuring our organization's logo. The branded sweaters represent not only protection from the harsh cold conditions of the Peruvian Andes, but also a lasting connection between our organization and the communities we serve.

Our goal is to help ensure that extreme weather does not become another barrier between students and their education. By working directly with these two school communities, Project South America continues expanding its mission beyond food assistance and addressing the everyday needs that affect students' well-being, comfort, and ability to learn.
