Meet the officers of Project South America. Here they are, in their own words.
Maria Gonzalez, President
My name is Maria Gonzalez. I am the President of Project South America and was proudly raised in Supe, Peru. Through the organization, I will oversee all operations, raise funds for the organization, and continue to spread awareness to the Hispanic community.
Miguel Anaya, Vice President
My name is Miguel Anaya. I am a doctor of medicine specializing in Pediatrics and vice president of Project South America. Through the organization, I will help plan events that raise funds and spread awareness for our mission.
Carlos Lumbe, Treasurer
My name is Carlos Lumbe. I am the treasurer of Project South America. Born and raised in Paramonga, Peru, I have been a chef for more than 15 years and founded La esquina del buen gusto alongside my wife, Maria Gonzalez. Through the organization, I will help keep track of budgets, run events, and reach out to restaurants and sponsors.
Karla Corcuera, Secretary
My name is Karla Corcuera. I am the secretary of Project South America. Through the organization, I plan to help promote and arrange events, spread awareness of the organization to other places, and represent the organization through my other leadership positions.
